The Best Campervan Toilet With Instant Pop Up Privacy Tent.

Updated: Jun 11, 2022

We take a look at the Hillington Lightweight & Portable 5L Camping Toilet with Instant Pop Up Privacy Tent.

The perfect toilet solution for van life.

Campervan Toilet And Pop Up Tent

So many of us love van life, not only for the freedom it brings but because we simply love to spend time in our campervans and why not? you have everything you need, heat, water, food etc. but for a lot of van lifers who have chosen a smaller campervan there is one essential item that is often missing and that is a toilet, something we all need on a daily basis but is quite often overlooked and not talked about.

We have taken a look at the Hillington lightweight and portable 5L camping toilet complete with an instant pop up privacy tent and we are very impressed with it indeed.

Our First Impressions.

First impressions are that this is a very well built and compact setup, the tent pops up in a matter of seconds and gives perfect privacy. Not only can this be used for a toilet but it is

also perfect as a shower cubicle or a changing room.

The toilet itself is so simple to use, it has a full-size adult toilet seat with lid and a 5L waste bucket that is removable (also with its own lid)

Carry handles that make it easy to move around and even a built in toilet roll holder.

Overall the toilet is very sturdy, strong, easy to use and easy to clean.

What Are The Dimensions?

Overall the sizes are pretty much perfect and are very easy to store away when on the move.

The dimensions of the privacy tent are approximately: 185cm x 120cm x 120cm

The dimensions of the toilet are approximately: 42cm x 35cm x33.5cm

Should You Consider One?

We would say that is definitely worth considering, if you have a smaller campervan that doesn't have a toilet in then this is the perfect solution, you could use the toilet inside your campervan if you wanted but it is so quick and simple to pop the tent up next to or behind your campervan we really don't see why you would want to.

The fact that the tent does not have to be used just for the toilet is also a bonus, not only can it be used as a changing room or a shower cubicle but it is also great simply for storage, you can leave your chairs, shoes, BBQ, scooters, wet clothes etc. in it over night or on your pitch while you go out for the day.
