Hey guys,
My husband, myself and the Boy (cat baby) are in the planning stages of becoming nomads and moving into a campervan/converted van full time in the next 6-9 months and just wanted to say hey! But also going to be looking for any advice, at the moment our key thing it to work out how to dispose of toilet waste so any tips there would be great!
Speak soon all,
Emily, Mike and the Boy
Hi Emily, Mike and the Boy, by p
I just started full time vanlife a few days ago, in fact I have not travelled yet, I am still in the process of figuring out where to put what. I had to leave my rental last week, so my stuff is in my car and van at the moment. Getting there, I am starting to see the end of the tunnel. I have a Peugeot Boxer that I had converted by professionals. It is a LWB so I was able to put in a shower and still have some room for myself and my big dog Gimli. We are currently in a basic campground and it allows us to get acquainted with this new life style!
Emptying cassette toilets in a campground, or an Aire is travelling in mainland Europe, would be my first choice as well.
Keep us updated with your van purchase. Do you want to convert it yourself or buy it already made?
Luton`s are great, they really give you a sense of space as they are pretty high, I see this one for sale on eBay at the moment, I love the rear deck!
Hi Emily, Mike and the Boy
Thanks for joining us and congratulations on making the move to van life!
A lot of people will pop into a local campsite and ask if they could empty their toilet cassette and fill up with fresh water, usually at a small cost.
Some will visit friends and empty there.
Some will empty in a public toilet.
Some will bury the waste in the woods.
Some will find a sewage manhole cover, lift it and empty out
The only one I would recommend is to visit a campsite and empty it there, plus get yourself an extra cassette if you have room to store it.
What van do you think you will be going for?
