In Your Campervan
Pétunia the van is now in conversion mode at Scandinavian Camper Conversions in Hungerford. Here are a few pictures. Today I took Gimli, my dog, who will live in Pétunia with me. Not sure what his thoughts are... 🤔 I am very excited to see it evolve into a little house!

Dear vanlifers, as I am planning to travel in Europe half of the time, I need a reliable Internet provider. I was planning to have a Mifi unit with an antenna as I heard a lot about it in forums, Vlogs, etc. I recently heard about Connect +, via Runningoffthegrid's vlog. It relies on cloud sim (digital sim, so no need to buy a card for each country). Alan and Sadge use it without a antenna. The company claims it work well with an antenna but do not have the expertise!? What is your experience with Mifi? What do you use? Any recommendations? Manon

In Your Campervan
Hi everyone! I do not have much to show at this point. I am having the conversion done by a small company, The Scandinavian Van Conversion Company. They do everything by hand with wood finishing, it will look great, I hope..., We are currently discussing the final details about batteries, heating, boiler, etc. The only tangible things I have at the moment is the ceramic tiles I am making for the back splash. I love making them so much, I might become a tile maker for a living! 😂😂

In Introductions
My name is Manon, I am a 59 year old French Canadian lady, who has been living in the UK for 7 years. I am separated from my husband and currently live with my 22year old son in a rented cottage. We are facing eviction at the end of August. At first I panicked, then decided that since I loved camping, I could just buy a campervan and live in it with my dog while travelling and discovering UK and Europe. I had no idea Vanlife was a thing! I am not really into social media and living in my bubble kicking my wounds. My decision is made now, I used some of my retirement money to finance a L4h2 Boxer conversion. It will be ready in mid-August. I am both excited and stressed about the whole thing. I cannot wait to start and wish to meet nice people, but at the same time I am a bit scared. I do try to see things in a positive way. At least, I will not have to pay rent, council taxes and electricity. Thanks to the initiative behind this group, it makes a difference to communicate with people in similar situations.
