Yes! Take it easy at first. Enjoy every moments of it. Do not get discouraged by the problems arising. It is a learning curve, sometimes it gets steep but there is alwsys a solution. I learn something new everyday in this vanlifers adventure. Takes a while to get used to parkup using park4night, just trust your gut. If you do not feel it, find another place. Pub stays are a good option.

Great, it will be a learning curve for a while! 😂. In fact I learn something new every day! I was not very confident with park4night at first. I stayed several days in campgrounds before daring. England is not the best of place for that matter. Scotland is a great place for vanlife, especially off season if like me you do not like crowds. 😂 France is like vanlife paradise!

Geez! I just saw your reply now! I would love to go to Turkey, especially with other vanlifers. Have been there already or is it still in the planning stage? I am back in the UK at the moment.

Hello Supervancagabond! I have been stsoin my van fulltime since September. There are ups and downs but mainly great freedom and I would not go back to a house. It takes a while to connect with people, especially as a solo traveller but you do meet people with whom to share your experiences and get tips from. Good luck and tell us about your adventures. I live fulltime in my L4H2 Boxer conversion since last September. I did a big dive from living in a house to emptying it, getting the van and living in it the next day! I went to Scotland most of the autumn, spent Christmas holidays in Oxfordshire and i am now in France, making my way slowly to Portugal. I stopover at friends on the way down.

I tend to avoid parking too close to houses but will park in residential area if there is enough space. I am particularly carefull about making noise if I do so. I parked at in a friend's driveway during the last cold spell and asked the neighbours if my diesel heater was bothering them. They were really nice and kind about it. It is all about respect.
