I just wanted to come on here & say hello.
I was widowed in 2023 & have been drifting from day to day ever since. However, in June this year, I purchased a 1997 Ford Transit Duetto campervan with the intention of starting a new life - I'm not yet ready for full-time van life due to family commitments, but dipping my toes in the water & seeing how it goes.
I am currently working part-time & planning on touring part-time, the camper just needs a few tweaks & upgrades before I can stay in her overnight; the grey water outlet tap is frozen & needs replacing, plus I need to get a gas bottle, but I don't get paid until next week, so this week off work is all about prepping my camper for the road once these couple of things are done.
She is set up for EHU, but I'm planning to do more off-grid parking than site parking, so I've purchased 12v items, & plan to get a free-standing solar setup eventually, when finances permit.
I've not attended any festivals so far this year, but I'm still at the setting myself up & figuring things out stage right now, however, come 2026, I will be looking for a remote job & being on the road more than in my brick & mortar.
Anyway, here's a booty shot of my camper ... she's called Priscilla & she is in pretty good condition considering her age, unlike her owner 😂
